Gospel Primary, Elementary Teachings

We believe in one God—Father, Son, and Holy Spirit—three in one. God created all things, and humanity was created in His image as spirit, soul, and body (Genesis 1:27)

Through Adam’s sin, spiritual sin and death entered the human race, bringing separation from God to all people (Romans 5:12). Sin is first against God and affects the human spirit, then the soul and body. All people fall short of God’s righteousness and cannot be saved by their own works (Isaiah 64:6).

God the Father, in love, sent His Son Jesus Christ, who was born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, died on the cross for our sins and death, was buried, and rose bodily from the dead on the third day. He ascended into heaven, sits at the right hand of the Father, and will return in power and glory to judge the world.

Salvation is received through repentance and faith in Jesus Christ. Believers are called to be baptized in water and to freely receive the Holy Spirit, who indwells, regenerates, and renews. The Holy Spirit baptism empowers, and equips the church for holy living, witnessing, and the ongoing work of God’s kingdom (Acts 2:38), continuing Jesus’ ministry on Earth.

MissionVE Institutes  members joyfully extend the hand of Christian fellowship to all believers who affirm these primary beliefs. Recognizing the richness and diversity within the body of Christ, all other doctrinal matters are held as secondary, may differ among believers, and are approached with humility, grace, and love. Such differences are not permitted to cause division, but are navigated in a spirit of unity, as we seek to preserve the bond of peace and grow together in Christ. (Romans 14:1–4, 19; Ephesians 4:1–6; 1 Corinthians 1:10; Colossians 3:12–15)

Church Leadership and Governance

The church is led by spiritually mature elders who are called by God with Holy Spirit government anointing and recognized by the congregation. Elders provide spiritual oversight, teaching, pastoral care, and the guarding of sound doctrine, seeking the guidance of the Holy Spirit through prayer and discernment (Acts 14:23; Titus 1:5–9; 1 Peter 5:1–3).

The church leadership also contains deacons who are believers that successfully and faithfully exercise one or more Holy Spirit  gifts and are recognized by the congregation for their character, and service. Deacons support the ministries by serving the practical, spiritual, and missional needs of the church, promoting unity and enabling the body to function in the power of the Holy Spirit (Acts 6:1–7; 1 Corinthians 12; 1 Timothy 3:8–13).

All leadership operates under the headship of Jesus Christ and the authority of Scripture, in humility, accountability, and love, for the equipping of the saints and the advancement of God’s kingdom through the ongoing work of the Holy Spirit (Ephesians 4:11–13).

Stages of Spiritual Growth and Maturity

1 Corinthians 12:4–7
The Holy Spirit works within the body of Christ to bring believers into increasing levels of spiritual maturity and responsibility. Scripture teaches that there are diversities of gifts, administrations, and operations, all flowing from the same Spirit, the same Lord, and the same God (1 Corinthians 12:4–6). The manifestation of the Spirit is given to every believer for the common good (1 Corinthians 12:7).

Level One: Gifted Believer

Every believer has access to the gifts of the Holy Spirit, which are given as the Spirit wills. At this level, believers receive and operate in spiritual gifts for personal growth and for the benefit of others, learning dependence on the Spirit and growing in faith and obedience (1 Corinthians 12:7, 11; Romans 8:14).

Level Two: Trained Servant (Deaconate)

At this stage, the Holy Spirit begins to consistently train and develop an individual in specific gifts and areas of service. These believers demonstrate faithfulness, character, and growing effectiveness, and are entrusted with responsibility to serve others within the body. Their gifting is recognized through fruit, accountability, and congregational affirmation (1 Corinthians 12:5; Acts 6:1–7; 1 Timothy 3:10).

Level Three: Anointed Minister (Execution and Equipping)

At this level, the Holy Spirit anoints individuals not only to operate in gifts, but also to equip, activate, and train others in the work of ministry. These believers function with spiritual authority and maturity, helping to release the gifts of God in the body and advance the mission of the church through effective leadership and multiplication (1 Corinthians 12:6; Ephesians 4:11–13; 2 Timothy 2:2).

In all stages, the work of the Holy Spirit is for the building up of the church and the glory of God, as He works all things in all (1 Corinthians 12:6–7; 1 Corinthians 14:12).

Spiritual Maturity and Public Recognition

Spiritual maturity is demonstrated through faithful service, godly character, obedience to Christ, and the effective exercise of spiritual gifts. Individuals are first proven through action and fruit before being recognized for leadership or ministry responsibility (Luke 16:10; 1 Timothy 3:10; James 2:17).

Those who demonstrate faithfulness and maturity over time are recognized by the congregation and, after such recognition, are publicly acknowledged and affirmed through prayer and the laying on of hands, according to biblical examples (Acts 6:3–6; Acts 13:2–3; 1 Timothy 4:14).

This process ensures that leadership and ministry are entrusted to those who are mature, Spirit-led, and confirmed both by godly fruit and the witness of the body of Christ, for the building up of the church and the glory of God (Matthew 7:16; Ephesians 4:12–13).

Missions and Spirit-Empowered Outreach

MissionVE Institute fulfills its mission through Spirit-empowered, multi-gifted teams sent to proclaim the gospel, make disciples, and demonstrate the kingdom of God in word and power. These teams are composed of believers operating in multiple gifts of the Holy Spirit, as the Spirit provides, to meet the spiritual, physical, and missional needs of those they serve (Matthew 28:18–20; Mark 16:15–20; 1 Corinthians 12:4–11).

Ministry teams are formed with complementary gifts so that the body of Christ functions in unity and effectiveness, with each member contributing according to the grace given to them (1 Corinthians 12:12–27; Ephesians 4:16). The Holy Spirit distributes gifts as needed to accomplish the mission assigned to each team (Acts 13:2–4).

MissionVE Institute provides biblical training, impartation, and activation in the gifts of the Holy Spirit, including the diverse expressions of gifting the Spirit gives, as He provides and as ministry needs arise. This equipping prepares believers for works of service, strengthens effective outreach, and advances the mission of God through the power of the Holy Spirit (Ephesians 4:11–13; 2 Timothy 1:6; Luke 10:1–9).

All missions and outreach are carried out under the authority of Jesus Christ, in dependence on the Holy Spirit, and in accountability to church leadership, for the glory of God and the building up of His church (Acts 1:8; Romans 15:18–19).
